Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania.
Fly and arrive into Kilimanjaro International airport (JRO) at 07:35am, meet and greet and transfer to Arusha for your overnight stay at Mc Elly’s Hotel, booked on bed and breakfast basis, BB.

Day 2: Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour.
At 8:00am in the morning after breakfast, your guide will pick and will drive you to Materuni Village where the falls located. Hike about 40 minutes to visit the waterfalls which are approximately 100meters high. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga, village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so do not forget your swimwear!
After having enjoyed the scenery, return to Materuni village for COFFEE TOUR, where you will experience a traditional Chagga lunch. After lunch, you will be taken for coffee tour to learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed to a test of a cup of coffee drink. You will also be invited to help with the grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances - a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. Before you say goodbye and return in the afternoon to Moshi, you can savour the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest. Day 3: Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike on Marangu Route.
At 0800hrs after breakfast, transfer to Marangu village from Moshi Town (one of the very clean Towns in the world), at Marangu gate, get registered and hike for approximately 3-4 hours to the first hut (Mandara hut), 2,700 meters above sea level. You will be accompanied by a qualified and licensed mountain guide who will be ready to answer all your questions, while pointing out things of interest along the way. Your picnic lunch will be saves on the mountain while observing the stunning landscape that surrounds you. Later you descend to the gate where you will meet your driver and transfer to Arusha for overnight at hotel booked on bed and breakfast.

Day 4: Kikuletwa Hot Springs (Rundugai Hot Spring).
- Breakfast at your hotel, at 0900hrs pick up and ride to the hot springs takes about an hour and 20 minutes and leads partly over bumpy slopes. First, we go past sugar cane plantations, then we come to the African scrubland. Dried river beds, baobab and acacia trees accompany us on our way.

The hot springs of Kikuletwa, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, are close to the village of Rundugai and are one of the most beautiful places in Tanzania to relax. The small pond is surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots and the crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to a refreshing bath. Although they are called hot springs, the water in Kikuletwa is warm, not truly ‘hot’ but refreshing, as the water source is fed by Mount Kilimanjaro itself. Later drive back to Arusha for overnight at hotel, booked on full board basis, FB.

Day 5: Arusha National Park.
In the morning at 0700hrs pick up from hotel and drive to Arusha National Park for game drive safari. Continue for game drive in the park to look for Waterbuck, Zebra, elephant, buffalo, White baboon, white and colobus monkey and many others. Birdlife is amazing. At a nice spot we will stop for a pick nick lunch.

Arusha National Park, often overlooked, is in fact a treasure, a rich tapestry of habitats, teeming with animals and birds. From the lush swamps of the Ngurdoto Crater to the tranquil beauty of the Momela Lakes and the rock alpine heights of Mt Meru, the terrain of the park is as varied as it is interesting. At 1700hrrs leave the park and drive back to Arusha town for overnight.

Day 6: Lake Duluti Canoeing - Arusha.
- At 10:00am after breakfast, pick up from your hotel in Arusha and transfer 14km to Lake Duluti, upon arrival to lake Duluti we will board our canoe for a boat trip. Glide across the smooth surface of this small crater Lakes and view bird life seldom seen fish eagles, giant kingfishers, darters and many more.
During the canoeing tour, you will see wildlife in the overarching trees and breath-taken scenes of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. The Lake goes as deep as 700 meters.
After the canoe trip, you’ll have a local lunch around the Lake from own account. You can opt take other excursion, as Lake Duluti is filled with many activities such as walking tour, hikes around a nearby crater and birds watching around Duluti forest reserve as options. Later afternoon drives back to Arusha for your overnight stay at your hotel, booked on half board basis, HB.

Day 7: Arusha - Tarangire National Park:
In the morning at 0800hrs pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive on tarmac road 120km to Tarangire National Park for game drives. Lunch picnic there after lunch continue with afternoon game viewing in the park to look for Lion, Leopard, Elephant, buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more.. Over 450 species of birds have been observed. Lunch picnic and there after proceed with afternoon game viewing before the drive takes you to Eco boma for overnight at lodge booked on full board basis, FB. (B/fast + lunch + dinner)

Day 8: Maasai Eco Boma Full day (Cultural & Village walking tour).
English breakfast will be served. You will have a full day at the Eco Boma for cultural activities.
Maasai life is traditionally dictated by the rising and setting of the sun, the rugged landscape, and the
ever-changing seasons. Your participation in Maasai cultural activities will therefore be dependent on
the time of year you travel and your length of stay at Maasai Eco Boma however, some of the
activities you can expect to participate in include:

Day 9: Drive - to – Serengeti National Park:
After breakfast, depart at 7:00am for Serengeti National Park across the Eastern Wing of the Great Rift Valley through Mto-wa-Mbu, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Highlands. Picnic lunch will be serves on the way

The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Within its 15,000 sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals- zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The park is the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds. Arrive at camp for dinner and overnight, booked on full board basis, FB.

Day 10: Full day Game drives in Serengeti National Park:
You dedicate this day to the Serengeti Park and take a morning and an afternoon game drive in the park. As Serengeti is very large, your guide knows well where to go for game viewing. You will have all meals and overnight at camp, booked on full board basis, FB.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater Tour.
Wake up at 0600hrs for early morning game drives in Serengeti, at 0730hrs back to the Camp for breakfast.
Then check out and drive with picnic lunch boxes to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Descend into the Crater floor for game drives. All the BIG FIVE Rhino Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more… Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more, Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp a Hippo pool. At 1600hrs ascend the Crater and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at lodge booked on full board basis, FB.

Day 12: Ngorongoro – Zanzibar Island (Stone Town).
- At 0800hrs after breakfast, check out and drive back to Arusha with some stops for shopping and lunch with Meena, then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for a light to Zanzibar departs at 2:00pm for Zanzibar and arrive at 3:20pm. You will be met and transfer to Hotel in Stone Town and check in at Horizon hotel booked on bed and breakfast basis, BB.

Day 13 - 14: Zanzibar City Tour, then to North-east Coast.
Breakfast at your resort, then transfer to Kiwengwa, North East Coast of the Island to spend TWO nights at leisure. (R & R – rest and relax). Be you transferred to the coast, commence a guided OLD Town of Stone Town walking tour, visit the Old Fort, the oldest structure in Stone Town built between 1698 and 1701, visit the House of Wonders, the most elegant building in Stone Town, Built in 1883, visit the Old Customs House, visit Darajani Market, visit Anglican Cathedral Church of Christ, Built between 1873 and 1883 by the Universities' Mission in Central Africa (UMCA) under the auspices of Edward Steere, third bishop of Zanzibar (1874-82), visit Beit el Amani Memorial Museum, visit slave market to mention the few, and lastly visit Forodhani Gardens on the seafront and was laid out in 1936 to mark the silver jubilee of Sultan Khalifa. You may choose to have own dinner at Forodhani gardens or at your hotel. Day 15: Arusha City Tour and Shopping Day.
Breakfast in your resort, transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight to Arusha depart at 0840 and arrive at 1015hrs, meet and transfer to Arusha for lunch. Meet by Meena again and visit Cultural heritage center for shopping. At Cultural center, you will see various artworks, handcrafts, curios, but mostly pressures Gem Stones including diamond, Tanzanite, all kind of green garnet and so many. Visit Clock tower, the center of African in length from Cairo in Egypt to Cape Town South Africa. Visit Maasai Market. DINNER at STELLS’S FAMILY. You will stay overnight at Mc Elly’s Hotel.

Day 16: Morning at leisure - Transfer to Airport.
This is the last day in Tanzania, start with breakfast in your hotel, late check out from your hotel at 1200hrs, Own lunch at Africafe Restaurant. At 1330hrs you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home depart at 1815hrs. End of Service.
