Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National park is located 130km West of Arusha and covers 330sq km. It lies in a shallow depression at the base of the Great Rift Valley and backed by the red and brown Cliffs of the escarpment. The Lake followed by ground water forest dominates the Park, there are also 2 hot spring water.
Wildlife: the park is home to TREE climbing lions, Elephant, Giraffe, Buffalo, Hippo, Waterbuck, Baboons, Hartebeest, Zebras and many more.
Birds: Over 400 spices of birds including flamingo, Pelican, stock, ibis, cormorants, Ostrich, and Geese.
Accommodation: Manyara hotel, Serena hotel, Kirurumu Tented camp, Eunoto lodge and camping sites.
