Itinerary
DAY 1. ENTEBBE-ARRIVAL TO KAMPALA-OVERNIGHT
Upon your arrival at Entebbe, meet and greet with the guide and thereafter transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 2. KAMPALA CITY TOUR - HISTORICAL, RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL SITES
After breakfast, drive from your hotel and head Speke Road for the tour of the Uganda’s independence monument and after head to Nakasero Market for a visit, it is a marketplace in Kampala, situated at the foot of Nakasero slope and it offers new nourishment, materials, and shoes among others. This is the best marketplace in the city. The market also specializes in fresh fruits and vegetables which can be picked up at the cheapest prices to fuel up the rest of your day. The visit offers a memorable experience to start up the day.
From there, drive to Gadhafi mosque situated on the top of old Kampala hill. It’s a home to the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council and also serves as the center of Uganda's Muslim population. While there, admire the interior décor and then take a tour to the top of the minaret. It has a gorgeous view of Kampala city plus the seven hills that make up Kampala.
Later on, drive to Namirembe Cathedral, situated on Namirembe hill Rubaga division. It is the headquarters of the Anglican faith in Uganda and is among the magnificent colonial style buildings in Uganda that still thrives up today, literally translated as a place of peace. Namirembe was regarded as a peace paradise in the pre-colonial Buganda.
You will then proceed to the Kabaka’s palace (Lubiri) usually referred to as the “Twekobe house”, this offers a wonderful history from the building itself to it once being Idi Amin’s torture chamber.
From there head to Kasubi tombs, located on the Kasubi hill, the site is the burial ground for the Buganda Kings. Four former Kings are buried here, namely; Mutesa I (1856-1884), Mwanga (1884-1897), Chwa Daudi (1899-1939) and Mutesa II (1939-1966). It also offers a catching history.
Have lunch (own cost) at one of the city restaurants of choice and then after, proceed to the Uganda National Museum, this is the Country’s only museum and is the oldest in East Africa. It offers a collection of objects from various traditional chiefs, In particular, the Museum houses materials on the Country’s history, archaeological art facts, natural historical specimens and various traditional musical instruments.
From there, drive to Bahai temple, it’s the only temple in the whole of Africa with the Bahai faith. The Bahai faith is a phenomenon of its own with a spiritual principle about the oneness of humanity.
You will then wind up the day with a visit to the Uganda Martyrs shrine in Namugongo, where you will be guided around the place, while listening to the history and the background of the place, its historical and religious importance to the country. It offers a fascinating experience.
Return to your hotel and have the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at. You may also opt to crown the day with the visit to Kampala Ndere Centre depending on the day of the week. This will offer you great traditional performances with dance troupes from all the tribes in Uganda.
DAY 3. NAMUGONGO, SEZIBWA, KALAGALA FALLS-JINJA
After breakfast, transfer to Namugongo Marty’s shrine, where the first Christian Martyrs were slain the then Buganda King.
Thereafter, transfer to the Sezibwa Falls; a spiritual place of Baganda kings where the get power, and other traditional rituals. Take pictures at the spectacular falls as a local guide explains to you interesting legends about the place.
Later transfer to Jinja via Mabira falls arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, visit the Kalagala falls on the river Nile where you will meet a local guide to take you through the traditional and cultural attachment of this site. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
DAY 4. VISIT THE CORONATION SITES - BUSOGA KINGDON.
After breakfast, you will go for your Busoga cultural activities beginning with a visit to Mpumwiire Royal Coronation site located only 2 km from Jinja town on Kamuli road. The hill has a lot of revelations about the deep historical-cultural bonds between the Banyoro and the basoga.
Thereafter, you will visit Bugembe hill, the seat of the Busoga kingdom where a lot about the formation and evolution of Busoga will be discovered.
You will also visit the igenge hill to visit the newly renovated royal Kyabazinga palace with panoramic view of Lake Victoria.
After lunch, you will head to Mayuge to visit bishop Hannington shrines at kyando, visit the chief Luba’s palace on mawuta hill located some 2km away from kyando hill, visit Walumbe village in Bukaleba, visit nyenda hill, located 4km from Iganga town. You will head to the hotel for dinner an overnight at a hotel in Jinja.
Transit Time: 2 – 3 hours’ Time (depending on the traffic)
DAY 5. JINJA TO SIPI FALLS AND NYERO ROCK PAINTINGS
7:00 am breakfast and after transfer for a full day cultural and historical tour to Nyero Rock Paintings located about 8 kms outside Kumi town and Sipi falls in Kapchorwa. These are rocks and boulders believed to have been painted by bush men or early Stone Age men over 300 years ago. They have 3 different rock faces that were painted with different signs with the first one having circular shapes and acacia figures. The second face has shapes of canoes and zebra paintings and the third one has a moonlike shape. You will also enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Kyoga in the nearby. Most of these shapes depict animals and items these people used in their days. You will have your packed lunch and after transfer to Sipi Falls for the hike to the bottom of falls along Mt. Elgon, you will enjoy the cool mist at Chebonet falls, Kapkwai cave and the spectacular viewpoint lying just beyond the falls along Kapchorwa road and later transfer back to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

DAY 6. MBALE TO BUSIA / MALABA BOARDER - KISUMU
After breakfast, you will transfer to Busia/Malaba Border where you will meet your Kenyan Guide and proceed to Kisumu. Lunch at Kisumu and on this day afternoon walking safari at Impala Sanctuary. Boat ride at Dunga beach. Later dinner and overnight at Acacia Hotel in Kisumu.
Transit Time: 4 Hours.
DAY 7. KISUMU – KERICHO – MARA
0700 Hrs. After breakfast depart for Kericho. Have Tea Factory Tour until mid day. Lunch will be served at Kericho. Afternoons proceed to Maasai Mara and check in at Your lodge. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
Transit Time: 5 Hours.
DAY 8. MAASAI MARA
0730 Hrs. - Breakfast and have full day game drive at Maasai Mara with packed lunch. Later in the day has a visit of Maasai Village. Return to your lodge later in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
DAY 9. MAASAI MARA
0630 Hrs. Have an early morning game drive in the park.
0830 Hrs. Late breakfast and relax at leisure. Visit the Maasai Village
1500 Hrs. afternoon game drive in the reserve till evening.
Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
DAY 10. DEPART
0730 Hrs. - After breakfast Check out and drive to Nairobi. Dinner at Carnivore restaurant later transfer transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International for your onward international flight
