The Machame route is a bit challenging, as going to heaven is not an easy route, do not wait, take this priority and challenge your fitness and be a concurar. Ascend thru Machame route and descend thru Mweka route, accommodation will be in camping throughout the climb, pit latrine toilets are available. Trip Itinerary: Valid 2023/2024

Day 1: 20th Dec. Arrival Day:
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport (JRO) by KLM, Ethiopian Airline, Kenya airways. OR arrive in Nairobi (NBO) Meet and assist by our staff and transfer to the foot of Kilimanjaro in Arusha or Moshi for overnight booked on half board basis, HB

Day 2: 21st Dec. Machame Gate (1800m) - Machame Camp (3000m)
Arrive to the Machame Gate from Arusha/ Moshi in a 4WD vehicle, introduction to your guide and porters. Registration is done and thereafter start climb {Hiking/Trekking} with picnic lunch through rain forest for approximately 4 to 5 hrs where you arrive to the Machame camp. Later afternoon walk up to a little higher altitude is done for acclimatization. Return to Machame Camp for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 3: 22nd Dec. Machame Camp (3000m) - Shira Camp (3800m)
After breakfast, start climb through short Savannah, forest and other vegetation for approximately 4 to 5hrs, with picnic lunch en route before arriving in the afternoon at the Shira Camp. In Shira is where an extra day can be spent for acclimatization when climbing takes 7 days or more, dinner and overnight at Shira Camp. FB

Day 4: 23rd Dec. Shira (3800m) - Barranco (3950m)
After breakfast a slow walk through semi glacier and sandy areas with picnic lunch 3 to 4 hrs before arriving at the Barranco camp for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 5: 24th Dec. Barranco Camp (3950m) - Barafu Camp (4600m)
After breakfast, with picnic lunch enroute climb through glaciers for approximately 4 to 5 hours before arriving the Barafu camp for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 6: 25th Dec. Barafu Camp (4600m) Uhuru Peak (5895m) Mweka (3100m)
Celebrate Christmas on the highest point in Africa. An early wakeup call around 01.00hrs for preparation and light breakfast before starting final ascent to the summit i.e. either the Stella Point reached in approximately 5 to 6 hrs and a further ascent to the Uhuru Peak reached in another approx 45minutes. Take a moment and say little prayers to God (those who have faith in God) pray for peace in the world, pray for your country, Tanzania as well, pray for children who are suffering in the world. After signing and short rest at barafu hut descend via the Gilman's Point down to Mweka camp for an hours rest with light breakfast then descent down for dinner and overnight at Mweka camp. FB

Day 7: 26th Dec. Mweka Camp gate to Arusha
-After breakfast, final descent to Mweka gate, thereafter say Goodbye to your Guide/ Porters and connect a private transfer to Arusha at Arusha Crown Hotel, bet and breakfast. BB

Day 8: 27th Dec. Transfer to Airport-Transfer to airport, End of Gofan Africa Safaris Services
